    This mineral is rare even when it is not as 'hairy' and fibrous. Aurichalcite has an attractive concentrated green-blue colour. Most examples are composed of very small needles that may rub off and leave a blue deposit of minute crystals on a surface. Because of its delicateness, specimens should be handled as little as possible and washing them with water is not recommended, as this will damage them.
