Natural vs Heat-Treated Citrine
It’s important to understand that much of the Citrine found on the market today has been heat-treated, usually from Amethyst or Smoky Quartz. This process enhances the yellow to deep orange tones, creating the vibrant “golden” Citrine. While these crystals still hold beneficial energy, their vibration differs from that of natural Citrine.
Natural Citrine forms deep within the Earth and tends to have a paler, honey to smoky-golden colour. Its energy is gentler, more grounding, and resonates strongly with clarity, manifestation, and true solar empowerment.
Heat-treated Citrine, by contrast, carries the fiery transformation of Amethyst’s alchemy — it holds a more dynamic, outwardly expressive energy, excellent for motivation, confidence, and creative drive.
