Herkimer Diamonds are unique, naturally occurring quartz crystals all the example in this category are from the Herkimer County, New York.
Despite their name, they are not true diamonds but rather doubly terminated quartz crystals, renowned for their clarity and natural faceting.
The crystals formed in the Cambrian-age dolostone (around 500 million years old) in the Mohawk Valley region
It has been suggested by Robert Simmons that these crystals are manifestations of pure solidified spiritual light that emanate a high, harmonious energy that sings on the upper levels of the vibrational spectrum of the quartz group.
