A Yowah Nut is a small rounded ironstone concretion that may contain either Opal or Opal matrix. It can be found in the Opal fields that surround a small outback town by the name of Yowah some 1000 kilometres west of Brisbane in Queensland Australia. The numerous Opal fields that surround Yowah are mined mainly by hand as opposed to by machinery and are world famous.
Once the Yowah Nut is cracked open by some sharp implement, it can reveal either a beautiful Opal crystal or a deep strong ironstone containing fantastic patterns with inclusions of vibrant colour, making the Nut highly collectable and found nowhere else in the world other than in Queensland. Australian Opals were used by Aboriginal Shamen to induce visions, also by the native American Indians to induce a dreamlike state.
The vibrant colours of the Yowah Nut have a strong feminine energy, very gentle yet strong, very beautiful and elegant, nurturing, very much from the crystal heart of Mother Earth that has nurtured us so well for so long as does a mother for her child for its lifetime.
The Ironstone content of the Yowah Nut on the other hand, conveys the strong masculine energy, ones of strength, power and protection.
The combination of these two energies makes it the perfect choice to work with to balance personal polarities, to the left or right, silver or gold, masculine or feminine. Or to balance the Universal polarities, sun, moon and earth , masculine or feminine which at this time our planet so urgently requires us to do. Basically, the Yowah Nut can be worked with to maintain balance wherever it is needed.
The Yowah Nut has quite a high vibrational rate and is becoming rarer as its beauty is appreciated by more and more prospectors and collectors.
The information on these stones has been Channeled by Anne Frances.
